Hi all,
despite continued troubles with firmware troubles, I have until today kept up the flag, for an overall inexpensive and interesting phone.
However, today, the phone hat it first real fall. As I was bending over, it dropped from my shirt pocket onto a tiled floor (maybe a meter, if at all) and the screen scattered completely.
So, that is the end of my BV5000 and most likely Blackview experience ...

Are the BV6000 and BV6000S similarly rubbishly built? Or are these phones real outdoor phones ... not just wanna-bees look-alike?

I repaired also my BV5000 a few days ago. I ordered the BV6000 a few weaks ago. It is nearly NukeProof and a real outdoor tool.

Similar thing happened to me too. Fell about a meter, screen busted in top right hand corner. Still responsive, however garbled image.

I was initially pretty cool about seeing it fall thinking "its fine, they can hammer nails with the thing!". Nope. Big let down to say the least.

Since then I've bought a new screen for 40 euro off ebay which arrived quickly, and with some youtube help, managed to replace it successfully!

Such a shame really that the phone was heavily pushed as a rugged outdoor phone and it doesn't really live up to its reputation...
