9600e Notification Bar and App Icon counter not visible

Sat Aug 22, 2020 9:03 pm

Dear,

At my previous Blackview (8000Pro) I had a notification bar, which notifies me about new messages (linkedin, facebook), emails, etc.
In my new Blackview 9600e, I don't see any notification bar? Can someone help me? How can I get this notification bar, so I will be aware of new content (of apps and emails, missed calls, etc)?

Next, the app counter doesn't work. I only get a blue dot on the app, but don't have a counter of how many new email I have or how many unread messages in other apps. Just a blue dot.

Like to hear how I can solve this.

Cheers, Tim

Hello, first go to the settings and open Duraspeed to add the apk to this function, and add the apk to the whitelist in the frequently used menu interface

Also, like counters, in notifications, this great phone has another bug: NOTIFICATION LED cannot be colour changed.
It must be always blue. You cannot use green on whatsapp for example. Aplications cannot use the configuration colour because Android doesnt let it to change.
Simply: another bug.

Thanks.
But as my phone is off during the night.
I don't get any notifications of new messages once my phone is switched on again in the morning. Is this possible?
Ps. Does a notification bar exists for the apps? As I only receive notifications on my "away screen", but no icons on the top bar.

Is it to be expected that Blackview will make new Software updates? Or do we just need to live with these bugs? (as I am aware Blackview doesn't really invest in updates, rather in new phones)

I have see on BV9700 Pro is no LED option on Display menu, so applications can control notifications LED (whatsapp can control GREEN LED color)
BV9700 Pro is on Android 9 too, so: why cannot use the LED control on BV9600E  ???

The battery saving features of android are strong with this one. To be sure you get app notifications, 4 things must be done.
1. Turn off intelligent power saving. Pretty sure it does nothing.
2. Make sure all apps you want notifications for are not 'battey optimized'.
3. Press recent apps button beside home. Press wrench, and be sure your desired apps have a yellow lock icon beside them.
4. Open settings - duraspeed. Turn on duraspeed. Toggle on same desired apps.
