No Rubbermat die Simprotection?

I just got my brandnew BV 9500 plus. In the manual ist mentioned a rubbermat to place under the Simcover but there was No rubbermat in the Phone Is it missing or Is it an error in the manual? It does not seem waterproof like this.

Rubbermat in the new phone as usaual.
