Every call I make goes blank and I am unable to access the call settings such as speaker phone and three way call and FaceTime. Soon as this starts working properly, this will be my favorite phone to date. I love everything about it aside from this one issue and hope someone can help, please!

It's probably a calibration problem
Open the phone application, dial *#87# to open the factory test menu
tap MMI1>single test>Distance Calibration
Follow the instructions. (the sensor is near the front camera)
Pass the test.
You can then test it with the Distance sensor .
DON'T MESS WITH ANYTHING ELSE
When done press the back button several times until you see the phone app.

I had the same problem and solved it.
The screen protector is covering the proximity sensor which is about 1 cm to the right of the front camera.
The sensor is not easily visible, but with the proper lighting conditions, you can find it.
Punch a hole in the screen protector, and then you problem is solved.

Blackview! It is not acceptable that you send screen covers that are not the exact fit!

Hi, just got my BV9800 pro about a week ago and love it but I'm having the proximity sensor problem.
I've followed the "dial *#87# to open the factory test menu
tap MMI1>single test>Distance Calibration"
But my phone fails the test every time.
I have removed the screen protector and still fails.
Any advice please?

I am having exactly the same issue at the moment.
I've run the distance calibration dozens of times and it's failed the first part of the test each time.
i get the messages: "Calibration fail (not get a valid value)"
and: "The alsps min value exception!"
Was a fix found for this or should I be seeking warranty on my phone?
I got it through the kickstarter.

I have tried to calibrate under bright sunshine as well and had failure after failure. Customer service has offered to look at it if I ship it back via registered airmail, but that costs about 90 Canadian dollars and would leave me without my phone probably for months.
I'm wondering if maybe the sensor itself is easy enough to replace myself? I'm quite handy and willing to try anything to get this amazing phone functional again.
