Feature request: photo RAW support

Sun Jan 12, 2020 1:30 pm

I really like this phone. It's robust, long lasting battery, the Flir cam... great. BUT: I was very disappointed to notice there is no RAW support for the "great" "48"MP-cam (it seems, they realize this just by interpolation). RAW is standard and necessary for serious picture-taking.
Will an update add this?

Can it be added?  This would appear to be a major issue with the phone, particularly given the 48k specifications

I'm sorry. No plans to support support format at this time.

I recently received this phone and was somewhat disappointed with the camera. Since the hardware specs are all pretty good, I figure the problem lies with the fairly basic stock camera app that comes on the phone and could probably be improved with an aftermarket app. As a serious picture taker, is there any aftermarket camera app you would recommend? There are just way too many choices on the Play Store to decide.
