Hi there, root can't be officially supported for obivous reasons. I can't help you with that, but i'll keep this thread open so that users can help you and talk about it

I'm leery about rooting but would like the ability to map the function button to the camera shutter function......I understand I need root for this.

I want to ask that, after Root Phone can still update through OTA?
My phone rooted, but my firmware still v1.0_20180827_20180904-1729 (before root, I did not receive any other updates and the phone kept saying "Yopur device's software is currently up to date")
