[USEFUL] Not seen via USB

Sat Nov 10, 2018 9:02 am

Hi,

When I connect my new BV9500Pro to PC (Win10) the battery icon on the phone shows it's being charged but the PC doesn't react to connection in any way.

I tried to switch microUSB cable with adapter to USB-C delivered with BV9500Pro. I tried phone restart. I tried Intercom application force close. All with no effect.
I've enabled software developer mode and noticed the USB is set to MTP mode. No MSD mode was present on the list but I tried to switch mode - but the menu was still showing it's MTP.

I switched from BV6000 after receiving my BV9600Pro from Ingiegogo yesterday. They couldn't transfer data via NFC but cloud restore brought my applications to the new phone. Not all app data were transfered though. I used to copy them via USB to PC and back to the a new phone. Since PC cannot detect BV9500Pro it is not possible. If it could detect but BV9600Pro couldn't work as MSD, it could also be not possible.

How can I connect BV9500Pro to PC so I could do a file transfer?

Intercom has to be off. When connecting to a PC the type of USB cable matters, since some are only for charging. When connected, slide down the settings bar in android and (hopefully) you see a new entry at the bottom of that screen, touch that and enable fire transfer mode (or whatever you want). When all is working and you accidentliy activate the intercom app, it will disable that function and you have to reconnect the cable and change the setting manually again (after exiting the intercom app).
