Whatsapp notifications not working

Wed Jun 20, 2018 9:25 am

I have a problem on a Blackview A10.

Whatsapp notifications are not showing up, to be able to check if I have received any messages on whatsapp I need to run the application.

I already did the disable the battery optimization and locked the app to still run in the background. Note that for other applications like gmail and facebook messanger I do not have any problems.

Currently the phone is on Android Version 7.0.

thank you

Omar

I suggest to perform a factory reset, reinstall whatsapp and setting it again under the battery and background clear settings.

I have already tried to do a factory reset but I still was not able to get this fixed.

Got any other idea that I can try?

Thank you.

no notification arrives if the phone is locked. No facebook no whatsapp no instagram. I can not solve the problem. I already tried to do a hard reset. How can I solve? I am really bored by this problem. Even the switkey keyboard crashes continuously, it had never happened to me with other phones

Hi,
I've previously had 4 different Blackview models, but this annoying thing happens to me also, only on A10.
I've tried everything from above, but no success.
Notifications from the native apps stay (Gmail, Maps, Play Store...), but all other apps (Facebook, Messenger, Viber, Whatsapp, Instagram...) get killed in the background (even if minimized by home button) and notifications destroyed after the phone locks and the screen is off for only 5-6 seconds.
For example: If Facebook Messenger is started and running, it stays on. But if just minimized, or a message is received, or a chat head is left running, 5-6 seconds after the phone is locked, the app is killed and the notification is removed.
After that, no messages are received until the Messenger is started again and it takes about 10 seconds for the app to start again, while, if the phone isn't locked yet, the app starts almost instantly.
It's like Developers: 'Don't keep activities' and 'No background processes' are active, but they are not...

Aand I found the solution for this!
Settings -> Intelligent assist -> PureBackground
Either turn it off completely, or add your applications to the On list. That's it.
Yay, this was really annoying for few days...  :|
