Just noticed when switching the hotspot on nothing shows up in the broadcast list of available networks...

the phone is upto date with all available downloads.

i have preformed a factory reset.

and have checked on several other devices if the ssid is cast... zip, nada, zilch.

this is now a critical function for day to day duties.

Are you telling me that other phones, tablet or PCs can't see the BV8000 Pro hotspot network? is it correct?

Never head about such issue before.

1) Are you sure that the hotspot is enabled?

2) Please set your hotspot to be "always active" under hotspot settings and report back

3)tried with and with out security

4) tried both 2.4 & 5ghz .

5) updated with all available downloads & factory reset.

the issue persists. and needs to be resloved

In my case, it works flawlessly, on firmware 20180522. I'm using two SIM cards, too. I've been using the same setup since I bought the phone back on October 2017, and it has always worked.

So... Basically what youre saying is - you and j don't have the same issue and therefore the problem is solved?

If that's not the case what else do you suggest should be done?

I never heard about such issue since i've been moderating this board. No other user got this issue, you are the first. The issue persist between updates and factory resets, so it's not software related.
As it looks like an hardware fault, i can't see any other solution for you except contacting your seller to have your device replaced under warranty.
