For the people who don't get the OTA.

I was using the firmware BV8000Pro_blackview_20180308, available on this thread: http://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?f=192&t=213272

I had installed a few days ago via SP Flash Tool

No OTA notification.

So, I downgraded to BV8000Pro_blackview_20180124 from the same thread and installed via SP Flash Tool, as it used to work quite nice when I used it in the past.

I then did get OTA upgrade notification, which prompted me to download a ~93 Mb update from 20180228.

After downloading and installing the 20180228 OTA upgrade, I finally got an OTA notification to  download and install 20180522 (716.45 Mb). I'm downloading it right now, as I write tthis.

I'll get back to you later, after it finishes installing and I reboot the phone.

The new ROM is finally installed on my phone, and it looks fine. I will test further

I've installed latest OTA (20180522)
Flashlight button bug (not working on lockscreen) is fixed on my device.
Camera seems better, although colors are a little to flashy (it may just be a personal taste more than anything).
Overall satisfied for now !

I installed the new firmware through its and I noticed that alarm clock doesn't work anymore. Before it worked: with cell phone turned off the alarm clock worked. Now it only gets the phone stuck (in plane mode) without giving out any alarm.

Did you perform a factory reset after such update?

Yes but it didn't work. Last post I wrote is "ota" not its

Can confirm the bug...installed the OTA update on a brand new phone, factory reset afterwards. Alarm works fine if phone is turned on, but if phone is off it boots to a blank backlit screen with only the flight mode icon, battery percentage and time showing up the top. No noise and no response from buttons...it hangs and I have to hold power button down to force reset.
Reboots to a screen alert advising Alarm in in snooze mode. Alarm then sounded after a 15 min snooze delay.
