Firmware 20171027 info

Wed Nov 15, 2017 11:06 am

Can I know if the 20171027 firmware update is for the first version of BV7000 PRO with android 6 or the second version with android 7?

My BV7000 PRO was with android 6 and I updated it with Flash Tool at 20170706_0255

(The firmware link BV7000_PRO_Blackview_20170919 is always broken)

File only for devices had been originally delivered with android 7

The firmware is not installed, it is a firmware written for the second revision of the BV7000 PRO.
Do we have to wait for a firmware written for the first release or have you already stopped supporting the first revision of the BV7000 PRO?

Clear answers, please, no "Should work with both versions"
Thank you.

Difficult to answer the question:
Will updates be made to the first version of the BV7000 PRO?
Yes or no?

Be careful in updating this ROM as as usual Blackview relesed it with Chinese only documentation, a really great service for a company which wants to sell international!
Also the still existing Chinese characters in the path names which are known to lead to issues on non Chinese systems are not eliminated because that would mean a change to be customer focussed, which is contrary to the Blackview policy...

Then - and this is the main issue - in the Chinese documentation you can find "flash:512Gb+32Gb(eMMC+LPDDR3)" as memory information which leads me to the guessing that this ROM is NOT for BV7000Pro as my BV7000Pro has 4GB + 64GB. May be Blackview found a way for a flashable hardware upgrade, but that would be close to publishing a method for time travel...
So be careful not to brick your device by flashing a wrong released and not properly documented ROM!

Although I had the firmware written for the first release, I installed the NEW version
for the second revision of the BV7000 PRO.
I passed the message "PMT changed for the rom", starting formating the phone
from the format menu of the flash tool program.
This, caused me the loss of the two IMEI numbers of the phone,
but I restored them with the MauiMETA program.
Now the phone is working fine with the NEW rom.
