Slow Charging

Wed Jul 19, 2017 1:27 am

Hi! I got my BV6000 last February 2017. A few days ago,I just noticed that my phone is charging very slow. I'm using the charger included with the unit. 1% for every 20 minutes. I tried to charge other phone using the blackview charger, and it worked perfectly fine with other android phone. What do you think is the problem with my unit. Is there an app to fix this issue. Any solution to this? Thank you!

Check if cable/power adapter is original and working fine. Check is the usb port is clean.
Update to the latest firmware 20170708 and after that make a factory reset.

If that don't help it could be a hardware problem like usb port / Battery connection / or Battery status. In that case ask your seller for help.

The cable and adapter are original. I tried to use it in other android phone and it was charging perfectly fine. I tried to update it through the settings and it didn't work. It only showed "Your system is currently up to date". But it displayed "Current: BV600_V01_20161011". Obviously, the system showed the date last year. I have read the threads and your given update links doesn't work. I'm working for the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management at our Local Government Unit as a responder and a First Aider. We purchased BlackView Bv6000 for its toughness according the the reviews. How would you expect me to respond in the event of disaster when my communication device is always connected to its charger. With my job, communication is the most critical part because for us, every second counts to separate life and death situation. Our LGU is considered as a 4th class municipality. Which means our budget is limited for a service repairs or to buy a new unit. Please,we need a solution asap. Thank you.

A similar problem is present in the model BV6000s. viewtopic.php?f=151&t=148071. When you connect the cable to the phone, the actual charge current will be approximately 300-350 mAh (total charge current 500 = 300-350 + 150-200 mAh) and charging time 8-10 hours. In order to raise the total charge current to 1000 mAh, it is necessary to quickly re-connect the cable, while the actual charge current will be 700-750 mAh and the charging time will be approximately 5-6 hours.
The simplest solution is to add a menu item (when connecting a network charger) that would force the charge controller to accept a current of up to 2400 mAh (2.4A) If the installed board allows. With a warning that you can not actively charge and use a smartphone (play games and watch videos), and also that the smartphone when charging it is desirable to lay down on the table with the back side up. Because there can be unpleasant consequences ....

To monitor the current battery status, you can use this application: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... tery&hl=en. Displays the current charging and discharging current (with an error similar to the Chinese testers of 100-150 mAh). The expense of each application separately and much more. Root rights are not needed.

Had this problem also.
From one day to the other the original cable/ power adaptor did even not deliver enough power to keep battery status on same level when Smartphone was on.

I changed the cable and it worked again as before.
So original cable was broken even when standard USB connection worked without any problems.
Try this first.

Charge test through a homemade cable (Ethernet 2 pairs), two wires per +5V and GND contacts to exclude the wrong definition and greater bandwidth.

BV6000\s does not support charging current of 2A.
p.s In my case, the replacement cable does not help. Most likely it was a factory defect or error in the software.
