Not XDA, I ported it, but I would like to know, if it worked for you on Android N. I use still MM, but I used the N ROM for the port. Would like to know.

Excellent. thanks for the info.
Actually I did a port from another TWRP that was on 3.1.1 that was easier. Well not a real contributor. My knowledge is so low. I am learning every time a lot when I try something new. Most time it happens that I have to recover my TWRP image  I am not a developer like the other professional on XDA, but maybe in ten years I am good enough.

I also had this experience that the recovery was overwritten after a new flash and reverted to original one. Looks like a script doing that, as Blackview uses verified images. But flashing then only the TWRP recovery again after normal boot made it permanent (on MM)

I also use Magisk (still on MM), it's the best indeed.

What I do on this phone, I flash the ROM, boot it up, shut it down and flash the recovery only. That worked best for me.

Thanks for your feedback.

PS: In another forum I had a guy who had a brand new P2 and the ROM was completely different. Looks like some delivered phones were completely mixed up.

You can actually port twrp -> you are advanced !!

I can't port anything !!!

Can you give me a link to a toutorial I can read so I can start on a "simple port " like you did ?

"What I do on this phone, I flash the ROM, boot it up, shut it down and flash the recovery only."

Well , I couldn't boot the ROM because it froze at boot animation .

And when you say "boot it up" do you mean booting into recovery or into the ROM ?

I tried flashing twrp , booting into recovery , switching off the phone , reflashing twrp , booting into twrp again and then booting the phone (ROM)- it didn't work . It still froze at boot animation.

"PS: In another forum I had a guy who had a brand new P2 and the ROM was completely different. Looks like some delivered phones were completely mixed up."

What do you mean the ROM was completely different ?
- did it ship with nougat 7.0 insted of MM 6.0 ?
- Did it have a different launcher from the launcher3 that comes as the default on blackview p2 ? I always use the same launcher (nova launcher) and the same settings of nova launcher on all my phones. My blackview p2 doesn't look like the blackview when you buy it !! Since nova launcher's settings can be backed up, I transfer those settings to each of my phones so that I have the samme look and feel in each of my phones ...
- or maybe it was a different theme ?
- and because the blackview p2 is really new , pepole (at xda) have not been able to port the ROM yet. If any new ROM was out there , I would have found it !!!
but In a short time we will be having lineageOS , Resurrection remix , AOSP , MadOS etc ROMs for the blackview p2
- if you had a screen shot of the "about phone" of this guy's phone , it would help at lot !!!

Well actually I meant after a flash of the ROM you need to start the device once first. APK are installed and other stuff happening. Going to the recovery directly after flashing will usually not work. Then after the full start, you can go into recovery as usual and flash TWRP. Cleaning cache may also help, as noone know what is stored from memory there.

Concerning this guy, his ROM was completely broken, we exchanged screenshots and a lot of things were missing in his ROM. Finally he sent it back :D
