Blackview BV6000 - Voice Input Key (BV6000 users?)

Thu Mar 23, 2017 10:49 am

I tried to repost on my previous post on this but it just wouldn't show up in the forums so I'm posting this again.
I am in Australia.
I have bought a Blackview BV6000 with Android 7.0 installed.

The keyboard will not display the voice input microphone just to the left of the spacebar.

How do I get it to appear? Can anyone tell me if this is the same issue on their Blackview BV6000?

Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks[

Hi There.
The Android 7 Keyboard is a little more advanced.
Go to your language and input settings and select a couple of input languages for your keyboard. Also have Google Voice typing enabled.

Now, when you bring up your keyboard when typing a a search field in google for example, your space-bar on your AOSP keyboard will appear with the name of the input language your are using and a small globe will appear next to the space-bar. Hold down either the space-bar or the globe button for one second and your language input options come up along with the 'Voice Typing' option.

Select the voice typing option and your keyboard automatically swaps out for voice input. When you stop it the interface goes back to the keyboard. It works quite well.

I hope this helps someone.

Install the Google Keyboard and the newest version of the Google App.
