I have said it before and will say it again...be careful what you wish for. Android 8 may not work properly on phone hardware designed and tuned for 7.

Another manufacturer that promised its Android 5 device could be upgraded to 7 then disappointed its customers when it found out the hard way the phone didn't work on 7:

[ltr]Dear X1 users, we're sorry for the troublesome experience and the confusion related to the software update of the AGM X1. This is not the experience we want you to have. Before the X1 was launched, we had finalised the software on the device. After several requests from customers, we began developing software for X1 since January 2017. While working on the development of the 7.1 software, our engineers found an obstacle which was far beyond the original roadmap. The new software could not work very well on the X1. The only way to run this new software was to change the X1 PCBA, which meant making a new X1. The current X1 hardware does not support this update.[/ltr]

I would  much rather Blackview got it right on every phone they released, than wasting precious time on trying to make older phones work on Android 8....if it was working perfectly they would have released it by now. Don't push them to be hasty...you might regret it.

I don't see how they can do that while releasing 11 phones in a year.
No kidding their ROMs are buggy, it requires an enormous software team to deliver 11 ROMs in a year without them being completely unfinished.
It's been a year now, and the BV8Kpro ROM is still not finished (wich did not prevent blackview to release the 9K...), so it's kinda normal to wonder if they will eventually, and to think maybe starting fresh with Android 8 is a good idea.

The word "soon" was used 3 months ago. Guess it will still be used 3 months in the future ;) .

I share the opinion that a working Android 7 ROM would be much more interesting than a Android 8 ROM. I don't need Android 8. Does anyone? The changes are not that big. Newest doesn't always mean best.

The last update is already 2 month old... I was not asking for Oreo, but I'm not against it either.
It's obvious to me that BlackView prefers to release a lot of phones than finishing their software.
After all, that's what makes money on the short term...

My bv8000 pro begins to get on my nerves.
Screen sensitivity is quiet bad.
It suddenly lost all my Bluetooth associations, I use use it for professional use and it should be a professional unit...
The back button is a real nightmare, some applications really need it. if you switch on/off, you (sometimes) have access to it again.
The promess to have an oreo upgrade engage only people who believe in it, still waiting from one year.
Don't forget you make technology, not politic... And those unit might also done to be used, not only sold...
Sincerely

I too have screen sensitivity issues, back button issues, Bluetooth issues, screen not sleeping issues often a soft reset will fix but nevertheless annoying. And there is a permanent issue when you use a memory card as shared internal storage. Apps will jump out of folders and duplicate on boot up. And you can't "explore" the memory through settings. Maybe Oreo will fix these issues?
Anyone else having issues installing the 22 may update? Mine goes into recovery mode and says corrupt file install aborted.

Guys, here we are talking about the upcoming Oreo update. Please stop going off-topic.
Feel free to open another thread (or posting into an existing one) about your issues.
