I have just replaced the Cable by another one , keeping original Blackview power supply,  seem's Ok now !
Be aware that "intercom" application must be closed before charging, otherwise it will take longer for charging.

Many users solve this issue by replacing the cable, many by replacing both charger and cable, many closing the intercomm app, many others can't solve this issue performing all of these things.
A software fix willl be an huge part of the solution, that's why the issue has been tracked ;)

It's nice that the issue has been tracked, but a bit more information about the problem would be helpful.
If some people can solve the issue by replacing cable, charger, both cable and charger or closing intercom app (BV9500 PRO only btw!!), I'd be highly interested what went wrong, since many of us can't charge quick and it takes between 9 - 17 hours for a full charge!
Sorry but we bought your product and it does not work as promised - at least we need more information like when there will be a software update

Unfortunately we can't tell you guys the expected date of updates, as there are too many variables behind it. You'll have to be patient and wait for the tech team to work on that ;)

I'm fine with that, but there's another subject I wanna point out: the security upates!
I mean, this is a flagship phone and the current security patch level is october 2018 - quite dangerous.
Any explanation for that?

Thanks,
dee~

I have my phone for two days. The battery charge was excellent until I got an update of Android 8.1.0 today.

Hello from germany!

Today I received an update for my 9500 pro (BV_BV9500Pro_V1.0_20180827_20180929-1845) and hoped that all charging issues will be solved by that.

Sorry guys, no changes.
Fast charging only with original charger, ZERO support for third party equipment (supports of couse MTK pump express and pump express+)  only standard charging (5 V, 500 mA).
Short description of my measuring setup : FLUKE 289, Tektronix TBS 2000, high precision measuring shunt (0,05 ohms, 0,1 % tolerance), my of interest for your "tech-team".

No fast charge again! Different chargers, different cables (origin, ANKER, AUKEY, all fast charge supported).

So, what funny things do Blackview with MTK PE-protocol?
Why is the problem so difficult to solve?

Is this the promised update we all waited patiently for so long time?

I think as a customer who paid for a product we have the right for some more informations and a better support.

Please remember that the A/C charger for this phone is 12-volts output.
Almost ALL USB chargers in the US are 5-volts output.
5volts will charge at a very slow rate.

Hi there!
Performing a factory reset after each firmware/software update is highly recommended to avoid weird issues. Please perform a factory reset and check again.
I want also to underline that fast charging is only supported by chargers tailored for the Mediatek Pump Express protocol.

The bundled charger Is 12v output. Is only about cable capacity.
I bought a type-c Fast charge cable: 3% to 100% in 3 hours and a half

Thanks for your reply. ;)

Factory reset is of course performed, sorry  that I didn´t mentioned.
3 different chargers (supporting up to Mediatek Pump Express+ and all lower standards) where tested.
No fast charge.
All tested cables do fast charging with original charger, but none with 3rd party chargers.
Additional a strange behavior with wireless charging: charging voltage is going up to 9 V, but current is only about 300 mA. That means only 3 Watts input charging power (minus losses) with wireless charging (diffent chargers, QI-standard working up to 10 Watts)
Only the original charger supports up to 9V/1,8-1,9 A via cable on my 9500pro.

So, only explenation for me is an not compatible protocol in communication phone <-> charger.
