sensor disappeared from settings

Hi, same problem for me, today after about a month of usage, and never knocked my phone, fingerprint sensor stopped working.
Apps are unable to recognize fingerprint hardware and switch to alternate login methods.
When I try to delete registered prints, they're not really deleted.
When I try to register a new print, is unable to proceed.
It's clearly a factory defect and hardware issue.

Thanks for the reply, but do you mean that the issue could be solved with an update of the software or is this a hardware problem? Just to know if I can avoid to send back the phone to the seller, because I would prefer not having the inconvenience of remaining without phone. Please answer ASAP because I'm organizing the return this days, and if possible I would avoid it.

As I can see I am not alone with the fingerprint sensor issue.
The phone worked like a charm but all of a sudden the fingerprint reader stropped working and disappeared from the settings.
I restarted the phone multiple times and installed a software upgrade but it did not help.
I'm happy I did not reset to factory settings since this is clearly not helping.
I bought the phone from Banggood and they are not very helpful with post-sales...

Update on my situation: after a reboot, fingerprint section completely disappeared from menu, as if never existed.
Also, when issue was still fresh, I noticed volume buttons were slow to input response, after the reboot they returned to normal.

I have the same problem happened today.

Unfortunately same here, just as @Dbyte said above... first volume buttons were slow, phone wasn't responding anymore, I did a restart. Afterwards the fingerprint option disappeared from menu. I rebooted it about 10 times, cleared all memory, did an app reset... but same thing: can't delete the fingerprints inserted and can't add a new one, there's an error message saying it doesn't work and try later. 
I canceled the screen lock and started from zero: PIN + fingerprint ... the sensor just doesn't recognize the finger at all. (same with pattern + fingerprint).
Does anyone here think it might be a software issue only and an update would fix it or should I just contact support and try to arrange a change?
