I have the same problem too. The fingerprint scanner refused to recognize and I am locked out from most of my apps. I tried contacting the after sales contact posted on Blackview website. They have not been responsive. Anyone figure out the way to unlock the Security without fingerprint and fix the scanner problem? Thanks

Please upgrade to the latest firmware, perform a factory reset and report back.

I think I have an issue with the fingerprint sensor too. I have 20171227 (flashed and OTAs and factory resets after each update) and twice in the last 5 days the sensor seems dead. Not only it will not unlock the phone but it seems that also the settings from the menus disappear completely as if the phone don't have one, but after a restart it works fine and the settings are back having the fingerprints saved working.

That also happened to me once or twice. but it happened right after the phone suffered a soft reboot (when it doesn't completely reboot, just the UI). I didn't pay much attention to it, since it was rare and a proper reboot would solve it.

Did you directly flash your device to the 20171227 version?

I flashed it to 20171219 and then by OTA the 20171227. Factory reset both times. The phone was updated the first day I got it.

Can you flash to the 20171227 version and report back? I know that could be annoying, but it seems that doing only the OTA update led to strange issues.

I'll give it a try and will tell you if the issue returns.

So, I have news. After a flash to 20171227 and about 68 hours on, with 30% battery I had a software restart (phone did not ask for pin on sims) and the fingerprint sensor is not working.

Does the fingerprint sensor stop working only after a sudden reboot or it happens also in other circumstances?
