"Too bad MTK drivers don't work for me on Windows 10."
I feel your pain... I've tried for days on my Win10 machine to do what I finally did in a couple of seconds on a Win7 machine. I DO know that I can flash MTK phones through my Win10 machine, as I did it before with my Elephone p8000, but when I tried it again with for flashing TWRP onto my new BV6000, it never recognized the phone. I cannot for the life of me figure out what's wrong, but I think it has to do with some recent (forced) update of Win10. It looks like I cannot permanently disable driver signature enforcement any more... So I installed the drivers after temporarily disabling enforcement, but still no go. The phone just isn't recognized by the flash app. Also in the device manager it isn't recognized correctly.
I was lucky to have a Win7 machine around here that I could use, and it was all a no-brainer (ruling out that I did something wrong!), but why cannot MTK just offer signed drivers that WORK on modern machines?
