Re: Screen stops taking inputs second try

My BV6300Pro also shows this problem, the touchscreen randomly stops accepting input until the phone is locked via the power button and unlocked again immediately. This continues even after a full factory reset. Background tasks continue, such as playing music and responding to hardware button pushes, i.e volume up/down. So the phone isn't freezing, but the touchscreen just stops responding, and has been doing this for around a month now. My father bought the same phone, and his doesn't suffer this problem. I've tried to figure out of there is a pattern to the freeze, but there doesn't appear to be one. I like the phone, I really do, but it is incredibly frustrating to deal with a phone that constantly stops responding to input. From past experience as a developer, I'd suggest this might be down to bad RAM, but nothing else appears to be affected.

Was there any further developments from Blackview on this issue?

I still have a problem and after flashing to version BV6300Pro_EEA_TE988_V1.0_20210324V16, the touch screen freezes and does not react until you block it and unlock it with a button, so maybe several times a day, the compos also does not work in this firmware. How to solve touch screen problem ?????

Hello there,

Experiencing exactly the same problem for months, but juste fed up now to STOP & START the phone so I'm seeking for a real solution

Screen stops responding suddenly at anytime. Stop/Start from the physic button and it's ok for few seconds, minutes, hours, days... it depends .
Anyway very frustrating when you have to answer phone, or messages quickly

Any issue after all these months

Is there an update to this?
My BV9800 (not pro) is having exactly the same issue. However it can run for a week or so without issue and then suddenly have the issue every few seconds. Phone wouldn't have been dropped in the meantime. Today I picked it up from the charger and already was having these symptoms.

Also, how do you go to LOG, when you can't type?

I'm also having exactly this same problem described in the posts here.  My BV9800 pro will periodically throughout the day stop taking touchscreen input,  Pressing the power button the screen will turn off and upon next unlock the screen will start working again normally.  Was a solution found?  Thanks

Try turn off Smart Lock in settings and set auto lock for 2 minutes and more.
This helped me.

I am having this exact same issue. I have enabled developer mode and turned on trails and pointer location. Both confirm that the touchscreen is simply not responding.

I have flushed the cache multiple times, uninstalled the extra apps, rerun the system auto tests (*#87#) etc.

Despite all of this I get the same thing every time. When I turn it on the touchscreen works a few seconds and then stops responding. If videos, actions etc are taking place they continue.

In addition to touch input the audio will often shut off and I have to run 're-calibrate PA' to get the audio back. This may seem like a different topic, but I would suggest that this may be related as I have read numerous complaints from people with the same issue - and yes, I did check the speaker / mic unit.

This phone is in near mint condition and has been doing this now for months.

I am a programmer and engineer so I am very familiar with troubleshooting things like this but I'm at a loss. I would love a solution. I have turned multiple people here on to the blackview phone and they went out and bought them too. Now people are all having this same issue.

If there is someone at Blackview that can work with all of us on this I'm happy to work with someone there.

I suggest looking at logs for the driver services first. I suspect these issues are related and that services are crashing. This is likely a software problem for 2 reasons:
  1. It starts working RIGHT away when the screen is turned off and back on without fail (look at the services that get stopped and started... namely input)
  2. I have had instances of the input starting to work again WITHOUT turning the screen off and back on, this is rare but has happened
  3. Audio will work again immediately if *#87# is run and then PA Calibrate is run. This indicates a software problem and not a hardware problem. I understand that this may seem unrelated and like a different topic but I suspect these are related issues as odd as that may sound.
Please help us solve this. I was getting ready to purchase the BV 9900 Pro,but after all of this I am super hesitant and have been encouraging others to wait on upgrading as well.

Yes, I am having the exact same issue with my BV9800 Pro and have for months now! I've tried so many things to put it right but nothig works, the screen sensors just randomly cut out for no obvious reason at all.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see if there is ever a solution.
