What do you recommend me. I'm running Android 6.0 or I'm running this update on Android 7.0. What works best?

Hello. Could you please help me? I have two short questions:
1) will updating my P2 phone by using your tutorial here void my warranty?
2) I bought my P2 three days back. It still has Android 6.0. Yesterday I've noticed it found a system update available (P2_iGET_20170719-1825). I downloaded it and installed it. Yet there was no apparent difference. Today I had to reset the phone to factory settings and thus lost "the update" from yesterday.
Build number is P2_iGET_20170701 and it suddenly cannot find ANY system updates. How to update my phone automatically?
Maybe I have it all wrong. I don't really know much about updating/upgrading phone's system. Yet I bought this phone because you stated it comes with Android 7. So I just want to get what I paid for. Basically.
Any comment or suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you all.

Hi. Is it possible to download this C300_JK_7.0_201706200934.rar file, extract it, files in it compress to a *.zip file and update P2 phone using phone's "Local updates"?

Agreed - tested and works....now need to get to 7.1.2
