Simple question. Can I use my sim in sim slot 1 only for phone calls and my sim in slot 2 for 3G mobile data or is sim slot 2 restricted to GSM networking hardwired? So it would be necessary to switch sim cards between the slots or can this simply be defined in android settings or the mtk engineer mode?

Hi,
you can go to setting menu to find close the data connection of your sim card 1, and turn on
that of your sim card 2.
