Hi all,
I upgraded the phone OTA today. I didn't realize this was the Android 6 upgrade as otherwise I would have prepared better (e.g. backup).

Anyway, after rebooting the phone (a couple of times) I have an issue with the phone "sporadically" not charging.

In power off, charging works fine.

When I reboot, charging seems initially OK.

Then - and I am not sure what exactly triggers it - the phone stops charging (a USB Ampermeter shows 0.07A ... less than trickle charge) while the battery level is only at 40%. There is no temperature issue either.

Rebooting the phone (some times) restores charging again ...

HELP!

Will I have to wipe the phone with factory reset (as strangely enough, all or better most of the apps are still installed and work fine - I only "lost" my SD card content as it was reformatted with encryption).

I got similar problem. I left it overnight and the battery only increased 5%
Charged it one more hour and only went up 1%. That was so strange, and now my battery is 30%

Can I flash it back to Android 5.1 using this manual?

The manual is for windows 10 and I have windows 7, I don't know if I should follow those steps...

As above, I've lost the ability to charge and the device is significantly slower. I've already factory reset the phone and there was no improvement.

This is a real shame. Any ideas?

i got the same problem, try to charge in power off for 4-5 hour and got only 18% of battery charged, try to charge using PC and it charge but very slow, only got 33% from 18% in 1,5 hour, try to entering the safe mode and my phone just displayed "Blackview" screen.

Could I go back to Android 5.1 using this manual and an old ROM?

a further note:

Rebooting the phone or powering off doesn't solve the issue either (any more).

I tried 4 cables and 4 different chargers but mostly, the phone is not recharging.

When I take out the battery and put it back in, all goes back to "normal" charging until ... and I have no idea what the real trigger is, it falls back into trickle charge ...

I had no charging or battery issues before the upgrade. As a matter of fact, usually the phone was at around 70% at the end of the day which is amazing!

Can someone give advice if factory restoring will sort this (or only add more work without any success)?
