Hi ,

On May 9th, BV5000 OTA upgrade to Android Marshmallow will be available,
you can check then if this new Android Marshmallow can solve the problem or not.

I got that error, it was due to my root though. You in the root party?

I have the same firmware version than OP. Rooted with Kingroot, unrooted afterwards. Same error after unroot.

For what it's worth - here is how I updated my phone with the manually downloaded ROM. In my case, there was no need to root the phone, etc.

1) Simply download the ROM zip file an transfer to your SD card (internal or external)
2) Go to Settings
3) Click on About phone
4) Click on wireless update
5) Click on three vertical dots in the right hand top corner
6) Select Local updates
7) select SD card / folder / ZIP file that holds the ROM update that you have downloaded (manually)

And follow the steps to upgrade / update your ROM.

Hope this works for you!?
