Re: Overly aggressive memory management kills background apps after a short while

Hello,

After locking the app, the length of time an app stays open in the background is extended, but it's still killed eventually. This shouldn't happen at all once locked.

Even locked apps are killed in the background faster than unlocked apps on my other Android 10 phone.

It's also quite cumbersome to have to do this for every app that might need it. An example:
1) Use an app for the first time.
2) Do some work in this app.
3) Come back to the app 10 minutes later, and the work is lost because it's unclear which apps save data instantly (e.g. Google Drive) and which apps don't (e.g. Microsoft OneNote).
4) Add the app to the list of locked apps.
5) Do some more work.
6) Come back to find the app a few hours later, and even if the work isn't lost, the app is no longer in the list of recently opened apps.

This is not how Android 10 behaves on other phones.

Please can this aggressive memory management be removed altogether? This phone has a MASSIVE battery, and this level of battery management is unnecessary.

Thanks,
Andrew

You have to open the Intendant du Système' App. The App has a green Applogo with a shiel. In this App, you can Setup which Apps will not closing in Standby.

Does the BL6000 pro have Duraspeed, it is in the settings.
Older models have it, this same issue was driving me nuts on the BV9000 & BV9600 with stopping widgets and closing apps.
I found this setting and turned it on for either all apps or selected apps fixed the problem.

I have the same problem on my BL6000Pro.

Since there is no Duraspeed how can we solve the issue that the phone is killing background processes?

Same problem for me, even with battery optimisation off for the applications i want to keep.

Duraspeed seems not in the android 11 update, but i'm trying a solution with desactivating ram fast option. (maybe him the responsable?)

Hello guys, I've got the same problem as everybody, but I saw that the problem is happening because of the one internal memory cleaning app. Exactly it is "System management", the one with green icon with shield. Do like this:

System Management app> App Management> Auto Cleanup and add from the list the applications to the white list, those that you would like no to be closed after some minutes.

I've checked this and it works well (mostly when I used apps like Duolingo, in the middle of doing leeson, when I turned of the screen for few minutes it was closing it, now it is not happening anymore when I added it to the white list there).
