I have a brand new tab8.
The tab 8 runs android 10, the build number is Tab8_EEA_P30_V1.0_20201022V06

Bluetooth headsets pair well with the tab8, I can make real phone calls (sound+mic OK).
I can listen to youtube and media with the bluetooth.

But when I use apps like Google Assistant, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Whatsapp there is no sound/mic in the bluetooth headset.
The headset tells me a call is made ("Call ended" when I stop) but there is no sound/mic in the headset.
Could you please help me?

Thank you for your answer. Whatsapp is working fine now, with the permission.
Discord, Google Meet and the Google Assistant are not working.
The apps have the microphone permission.

The problem happens in normal mode and freehand mode.
When I call the Google Assistant with the headset button, no sound/microphone. 
When I call the Google Assistant with the touch screen apk, same problem.
Discord, when I join a group I can't hear and no microphone.

Is it possible the A2DP Offload is causing that? This option is always enabled in the developper options.

I have the same problem with Google Duo (the app is included in the tab8). 

When I call the tablet with Google Duo (from a PC), it rings and I can hear the ringing in the bluetooth headset.
I click answer, it answers but I can't hear anything and the microphone is not working (but I can hear a very light white noise like in a normal call).
It sounds like the recording/playback volumes are forced to zero, or something does not work in the Bluetooth stack when a VirtualCall is initialized.

During the call, if I switch from bluetooth to loudspeaker with the button in Google Duo, loudpseaker and tablet's microphone are working, so it shows I successfully answered the call.
If I switch back to bluetooth, no more sound/microphone.

Of course all permission are granted for Discord, Google Duo, Google Meet (microphone and even phone calls).
But it does not work. 
Please trust me there is really a problem here.

Yes, we have 4 bluetooth headsets. LG, JBL, Philips, Xiaomi. 
They work on 4 phones, TV, PC, on Discord, Google Duo, Google Assistant, Google Meet.

On the Tab8 tablet, all 4 headsets have no sound during calls with Discord, Google Duo, Google Assistant, Google Meet.
All 4 headsets have sound on tab8 when playing media (Youtube).

It seems the problem happens when a "virtual call" is made.
Using adb debug tool I asked for Bluetooth status. There is no audio on bluetooth when "mVirtualCallStarted: true"

I can run adb commands and send you log files if you want. I am software developper.
