BV9900 (non-pro) not able to enter any hidden menu

Hi,
I own a BV9900 (non-pro EU version). Bought from official Blaclview store in aliexpress 2 mounts ago. (migrating from BV7000 - great brick, I love it, but that said for the BV9900 so far, except the camera)
I got a few (all the discussed here) problems with the phone, but also I got one more:
Non of the menus *#*#CODE#*#* ; *#CODE# work for me.
Example: *#9646633# *#87# *#*#33#*#* and non of them is working. I'm using the stock phone dealer.
This way I'm unable to enter engineering mode, even to try to deal with the proximity sensor problem (to try to re-calibrate it) and any other problems that require access to those menus.

Any idea of how to enable auto-startup apps on reboot WITHOUT root access is also welcome.
