BV9900 Pro Charging Issue

Hi all. I looked around but couldn't find anything related.

I just received my phone last Tuesday and up till now I have been having issues charging it.

On the Blackview website, it says there is Fast Charge, may I know just how fast is it?

Here are my charging times so far,

After setting up my phone, it took almost 2 hours to charge it from 15% to 80% as the supplied charger and cable didn't really work.

The next few days I just charged it using my own charger and cable which was slow.

Today I finally brought the phone down to 0% and I used the Blackview charger and my own cable. it took 1hr 15mins to charge from 0% to 50%.

Is anyone else here facing charging issues like mine?

Thanks for viewing and Regards

Hi, I used the charger supplied with the 9900 Pro. 0% - 50% took 1 hour and 15 minutes, then 0% to 100% was 2 hour 45 minutes.
I also used my Huawei Mate 20 Pro charger and cable, it took more than 2 hours to get from 23% to 100%. And I also used a Samsung S10E Charger and cable, this one took 51 minutes to get from 42% to 79%.
I contacted your support via email and they told me to just buy another charger. Would buying another charger help if the Fast Charge technology is different?
Thanks for reading

Hi Zoe, I did use a data cable 1 of the times, that one was really slow.

Another update on the charging, wireless this time.

I dug out my Huawei 15W wireless quick charger. The 9900 pro had 72% left.

I put it on the wireless charger and every time, after charging 1% it will stop charging. Change different position/ angle (all positions / angles had the charger between the camera and heart rate sensor) many times until 1 particular angle. and it took 28 minutes to go from 78% to 92%.

Is this more of a charging issue than charger related?

Thanks for reading.

It is very funny indeed. I checked here, the slow charging problem seems to be a problem for almost a decade and since beginning, Blackview admin keeps asking questions to users and no proper advise. I have Blackview 9900 and Tab 8, but have slow charging problem with the original charger and charge cable. The problem seems to be more than one. Starting with the original charging cable. When you use original charger with a tested and performing different charging cable it starts charge normal. But seems like the hardware in phone or tablet has also issue, because when you open them from screnlock to normal functioning, it gives a battery connected noice taking about 5 minutes to go silence. So, simply...you just find a better proven charging cable or switch to an approved fast charger.

I have got the same charging issue on bv9900. It had few hours ago charged to 50% then I had to leave home so I removed it form charge and left. After coming back, I decided to go on with my charging since I had already drained the battery by recording some 4k videos. The charge didn't resume! The led lights up, the screen show the red charge bolt symbol but it never changes colour to green as it used to. It never shows the charge % and never charges at all. What could be the problems? Reply via email shall be appreciated as well opolotsimon25@gmail.com

Replace a data line to verify how long it takes to charge the wireless charger and how long to charge the line.
