Google Maps location slow and inaccurate in the US

I just tried navigation for the first time today and Google Maps's location update is slow and inaccurate.
I've got location and high accuracy location enabled.
Please help!

The first time is a normal phenomenon. The first cold start will be slower. First, search for the GPS star value and locate it.

Hmm, I've had the maps open for a while (like hours now) and it's still not working well. Any ideas of what I should do next?

Actually I just needed to wait for a few hours and now it works!
