Now that more people have purchased this model phone where blackview new it had issues but yet still took customers money it seems that more of us are having the same issue of shutting down unexpectedly and several times a day.

It would be honorable for blackview to issue partial refunds to anybody that has purchased this phone to be able to use those refunds to have somebody reflash their phones to Android 9 if that is going to fix the software in the phone to keep it from shutting down.

I still use this phone because of the Flir infrared technology built into the phone so I cannot return this phone because it is showing slight wear. So I am stuck with this phone no matter what.

I have asked blackview to send me a replacement phone and be honorable in doing so knowing that they shipped a defective device and still took our money for it and in turn I would send back the defective phone. But blackview would not agree to those terms and I do not feel comfortable having blackview keep my money take the phone back with the assumption that they are going to send me a new one without any problems.

Buyer beware or it may be too late since you already belong to this forum.....

For all of the problems everyone is facing relating to this BV9900 Pro. I believe it would be Honorable and respectful to send everyone a X1 watch. Since NOW you are giving them away FREE with phone purchase

I'll take a Black X1 please

As of this new OTA that came out 10/22/2020, Phone does not shut down on it own.

i am still on android 9 and have no OTA update. ive checked every day. When will OTA work for android 9
I DID NOT enter water only put "Waterproof" BV9900 Pro in pocket of wet shorts
phone wont turn on + lenses are fogged
Blackview is not WATERPROOF - it cant last 1Km walk in wet shorts
paid $569 USD
NO WARRANTY!

Dear Sysadmin:
My BV9900Pro is o BV9900Pro_EEA_S900AA_V1.0_20200601V09_20200604-1934.  It has boot loop and shut down issues - 100% repeatably by using the FLIR app in live mode and enabling the LED simultaneously - the phone will reliably reboot itself within 30-90 seconds.  

I've also found that the battery temperature is reported anomalously high and so the phone will not complete any "stress test" applications.   I suspect the issues may be related, but as the battery runs cool, there is likely no defect in the battery itself, rather in the either the software monitoring or the temperature sensor.

It seems likely a refresh and update will help - it certainly can't make anything worse!  Is the Android 10 OTA update going to be made available or is there a source for the ROM to do a manual update?

BV9900Pro restarts frequently with BlackView logo re-appearing. Came with Android 10 in the box. Restarts almost every day since first day box opened. Ordered for Black Friday 2020. ADB 'top' command shows the device uses more than 4GB of RAM even in safe mode, and full 8GB ram plus 2GB swap on normal usage.

Hello, Please try to reflash it, if it can't work still, then the mainboard was broken.

Good evening, 

3 months ago I bought a blackview bv9900 Pro smartphone on ebay. 
An ebay seller said the phone has a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. 
The phone turns off and does not turn on. It shows on the screen that I
need to do a factory reset: 

"Android Recovery Blackview / BV9900Pro EEA / BV9900PRO 10 / 0P1A.
190711.020 / 1575266475 user / release-keys Use volume up / down and power.

Cannot load Android system. Your data may be corrupt If you continue to get
this message, you may need to perform a factory data reset and erase all
user data stored on this device. 
Try again Factory data reset. " 

This happened 2 -3 times during the day. How can you solve this problem? 
Today I was late for work because my phone went off and the cklock alarm
didn't work.
I did a factory reset but still whow me the same.
My flir apk is not working correctly. 
Every time when i try to start it  the main screen in the apk is black and
the color -temp. scale is frozen (locked) from 0 to 0 or from - 60 to - 60.
Please, can you help me resolve this problem?
