Your adapter probably works. You just need to enable OTG in the settings.

Where can i find the OTG settings? I bought two USB-C audio adapter and both do not work. Only chance to get them run is to enable the the OTG option in Smart Assist settings. But this is not the solution. If I the option is unchecked no audio adapter works. If I check it I can listen music for 15 minutes before it switches off again. The I've to unplug the adapter, check the option again, replug adapter to enjoy the next 15 minutes.
This is a bug and Blackview is not willing to fix it (made a support six month ago without getting an answer :-(

Hello, which phone?

It's a BV9900 Pro.

As long as the phone is still in use, the OTG function will not be turned off. I want to confirm whether you have not used it after connecting to the OTG in 15 minutes?

If the OTG option is disabled none of my audio converters are recognized and my BV9900Pro uses internal speakers.
If I turn option 'OTG' on both adapters work well for 15 minutes. Then music stops, the option is disabled and i have to enable it again. This is exact the behave what the help text will tell us. Think this is a security option.
BUT here is the missing part (a bug in my opinion):
If the option 'OTG' is disabled I just want to connect my adapter and it should be recognized by the phone to listen music with my headphone as long as i want.
Current behave makes it really hart to enjoy my sport activities. When I do my jogging, I've to go into settings menu to enable OTG to have 15 minutes joy with my music. Then I've to take a break to repeat the procedure including reconnect the adapter. That's no fun :-(
Hope this description helps to clarify the problem?
