Hi,

I have Blackview BV9800Pro, stock Android Pie, rooted with magisk.

I recently noticed that my mobile payments and banking apps like paypal does turn off the fingerprint (in app) for the login if phone is rebooted, while it works perfectly on screenlock. So after reboot I have to go to android settings and remove that fingerprint and re-add it then and so it will work again untill I reboot again.

Any ideas about this issue?

I have the same setup and 5 apps that use fingerprint without problem.
I know that on some of my other devices you needed to unlock the phone with your code every now and then instead of the fingerprint to be able to use fingerprint in apps.

I see. But is it nornal to re-add finger print in the settings to fix the issue? One of the apps I have problem with is paypal. Do You have paypal?

No it's not normal.I have Paypal and it works fine.

I too am facing the same problem. My phone is not rooted

Maybe Blackview support can advise?

P.S., can it be because Security update is in RED? Latest security update to me is October 5, 2019, and it says that it is up-to-date.
