SIM-card slot 2 not responding

Today I recieved the phone, almost 2 months after I ordered it. The second SIM-card slot is not responding. Only the 1 slot recognizes the SIM-card. Slot 2 tells there’s no SIM-card present. When I exchange the cards still the same: the card in slot 1 is recognized and functions, the card in slot 2 does not. There’s only 1 way to align the nano-sim in slot 2, and only one way to insert the cardholder in the phone, so I’m pretty sure it’s inserted the way it’s supposed to. Please tell me how to awake SIMcard slot 2.

It is the same card can be recognized of slot 1 but not slot 2?
I sugguest that you can wrap something e.g. a gauze bandage around the front frame of the slot 2.
