Any updates on this? Basically this is the only thing that stops me from buying the new one. And at the same time I have simple 100$ android phone that can do AR. Blackview phones have very powerful HW that is totally capable of doing AR (and with thermal sensor you can get even more precise surface map than just with ordinary cameras) - it's a shame that firmware still doesn't have ARCore support included.
