So I recently came from a Samsung phone as well, the Note Edge. I had the same question as you, where's the app button? I really have been accustomed to the Samsung home screen since I've had one for the last eight or nine years. So not having an app button that allows you to declutter the home screen was a big issue for me so I played around with a few homes green apps and found one the play store called the Galaxy S launcher that I really like, there are several out there that will give you the app option on the home screen. I liked this one because it was closest to the Samsung Samsung home screen that I had been using. It puts the apps alphabetical order when you click on the app button which makes it easy to find apps that I don't use often. Unlike like stock home screeen app (Quickstep) that comes with this phone. I have been using it for about a month now and it seems with no problems yet, knock on wood. I have and iPhone for work and I really don't like the home screen on that which reminds me a lot of the one on the 9800 no app button and can only create folders.
