Found the issue, flashed the wrong Image... It's an A/B OS (sytem as root)

It does not. I have tried both systems: lineage-17.1-20200511-UNOFFICIAL-treble_arm64_bvN.img and Havoc-OS-v3.5-20200522-Official-GApps-arm64-ab.img. They boot fine and are usable (Google Pay complains about the root or modified system) but the flir camera does not work. "MyFLIR for Cat S61" tries to start up, asks for permissions and then crashes. Going back to stock for now.

Yes they did censor me aswell... not the best way get a good customer relation... you may switch to other platforms... as above mentioned

I tried the non-AB version of the ROM. I missed the fact that the phone uses AB and ended up flashing the non-AB version. Disregard my original post.
