BV9800 Pro flashing latest ROM fails

Sun Jan 26, 2020 10:53 pm

Hi there,

I've just received my BV9800 Pro some days ago and I like it so far. :)

I am from Germany so I've downloaded the EEA region ROM  2019120310_s65v71c2k_jk_p_eea .zip from here: viewtopic.php?f=285&t=532354
Current installed factory ROM is: BV9800Pro_S65_V1.0_20191120V1_20191206-1020

I've selected the local update zip, then clicked on update now,  warning msg regarding inofficial zip files pops up, clicked ok, msg about the image beeing inserted is shown, phone reboots, Android Symbol is shown with "Error", phone then reboots and starts normally.

1. Why is it not possible to apply this update zip? I would like to reach a more current android security patch level, phone is currently on the 5th of october.
2. Are there any plans for Android 10 for the BV9800 Pro?
3. Does Blackview welcome LineAgeOS ROM development by providing anything necessary for open source devs, if asked, to be able to build LineAgeOS ROM's for the 9800 Pro?

Your flashing ROM is not correct.
