New phone

Hi I just received my BV9500 plus after a 3 week wait and the sound won't work. Ive checked all settings and nothing works. No sound in earpiece so can't make calls and no speakers are working EG video and loud speaker for calls. Not very impressed as it cost more than advertised and took so long to turn up. Are there any issues with them or do I just have a bad handset?
