Just received my BV9500 Pro in the mail yesterday.
I set the phone up, let it download/install firmware update and went through every app and setting to have it just the way I want it.
The last app I tested/setup was the intercom, this is where my problem is.
**I will also mention that I have performed a factory reset**

Upon pressing the PTT button when the phone is asleep or awake the intercom app will not launch.
When in the intercom app the PTT button has no function when pressed, it does not control the broadcast as it is supposed to.

To test if the PTT button was broken I waited until the phone screen went dim, right before screen off.
When the PTT button was pressed the screen comes back to bright again.
So the phone is registering the PTT buttons press.

Has a string of code been missed to connect the PTT button and the app?
Or
Have I been sold a BV9500 with the software of a BV9500 Pro?
Under storage it lists 128gb of rom, so that checks out.
Is there an easy way to see if this phone has 6gb of ram rather then the 9500's 4gb's?

Other then a couple of bubbles under the screen protector at the very top of the screen this is the only problem I'm having.
However it is a pretty big problem considering it is 80% of the reason I purchased the phone in the first place.

I sincerely hope you can help me with this problem, I really don't want to have to send the phone back.

you have to enter the apk, then press the PTT key

PROBLEM SOLVED, USER ERROR.

I was under the assumption that the phone would come with the walkie-talkie function active right out of the box.
Please forgive me, solution is below.

Problem:
PTT button not launching Intercom app / PTT button not controlling broadcast function in Intercom app.

Solution:
Settings > Smart Assistant > PTT Key Setting > Toggle On.

The spring, most likely, has shifted from its factory position. Therefore, the button does not work either. You can try and remove it without stretching and install it in a new way. This should solve the problem.

I have this problem too, the PTT switch does nothing in the APK the on screen button works fine

I too am having problems with the PTT button.

I followed the instructions as below but went to Shortcut settings and set the Long Press option for PTT. Then when I used the PTT button it stated that I need to install the PTT application. What application is this?

I am using the BV 9800 Pro with GroupTalk app. It has never worked for even the most popular apps such as Zello and VoicePing.
