Battery Drain on BV9500 plus

Wed Oct 14, 2020 4:13 pm

For the first several weeks of using this phone I had to only recharge it every other day. The app Ampere showed a battery drain somewhere around 200-300 mA. Then, unexpectedly I started to drain much faster. No it is drawing 800-1000 mA and I no longer get a days use out of it.
Android apps does not detect any apps drawing too much power. I am in a major city with plenty of cell towers close to me. My wifi is on and has no trouble staying connected.
I have performed a hard factory reset, installed no additional apps other than Ampere, and still show a high battery drain.
I use the stock charger that it came with.
Shortly before this happened a was recharging it with the stock charger and got a pop up warning "charge voltage too high. Please unplug or risk battery damage" or some words to that effect. I'm not sure if this message was generated by Ampere or the operating system.
I am not sure what to do to resolve this problem. Please advise.

Hello, After checking with our technical department, maybe it's the problem of battery and you can't change the battery by yourself, you have to return it back to repair, so please contact the after-sale department directly: support02@blackview.hk
