BV6100 - A good phone badly let down by software issues.

Wed Jan 29, 2020 8:19 pm

These are some questions and comments I emailed to technical support.

Due to software issues and the phone being so securely locked down will seriously limit sales. This is a shame as I like the phone, but wish I hadn't bought it.

Why limit a 64 bit device to a 32 bit OS.
Why are the phones so securely locked down.
Why are there serious fstab issues.

These kinds of issues severely limit how useful the phone is. Unless there is changes to software development, these phones will never reach their best operational capability.

As more people become aware of the poor function of these phones, sale of the phones will be badly hit.

Customers like to have products that function at their best and have a lot of uses. For instance, not having the choice of a rooting option, or a custom recovery so good back ups can be made and stored offline is also a limiting factor.

If Blackview were to change their policy and allow for independent development by XDA community, for instance, or developed their software in order to improve over all functionality, your company would benefit a great deal as more people would buy your products.

As it stands at the moment, I am an unhappy customer who cannot support, or endorse your products. That is a shame, as your products have the potential to be popular and highly functional.

Kind regards.

I have feedback your suggestions to our engineers. Thank you!
They said, the RAM of BV6100 is small, the phone will freeze if use 64-bit.
