Please help!

Today I ran a systems update (Wifi update). After the update installed, I tried to unlock the screen but there was no OK button. An internet search revealed that the OK button had been removed in the update. The phone would not accept my pin - it said the pin was wrong but I had just used it before the update. The update changed the pin and now I cannot access my phone.

I reset to factory settings but I cannot remember the email account registered on the phone. I tried to log on using my recovery email but it just returns to the "Your phone has been reset, log in using the email registered on this phone" screem. I still cannot access my phone.

What kind of update changes the lock-screen pin?
