Issue with proximity sensor - screen black during calls

Hi all-
Wondering if anyone else is having proximity sensor issues and if there's any way to possibly fix it in software - ever since getting the phone the sensor hasn't worked correctly...I installed a sensor test app and see that the value goes to 0 when putting anything near it (like it should) but then won't return back to normal without a reboot. I thought the screen protector was the issue since it seemed to work better after removing it but it didn't make much of a difference. If nothing else how would I exchange the phone under warranty? Other than this I'm absolutely loving the phone - it's definitely a step up from my old S7 Active. Thanks much!

Any chance someone from Blackview is watching these forums and could help with this? I'm not seeing any info on how to submit a warranty claim on the website. I'm not able to use my new phone (well, it works great for everything other than actual phone calls!) and have tried various ways to contact someone about this to no avail - some help getting this phone exchanged or repaired would be much appreciated! Thanks-
