Again trying to get the Truth about this phone.

Wed Sep 04, 2019 8:58 am

Again me.
After reading the different official blackview news area, I found that in 2019-06-30, the company mentions the different capabilities this phone has and it says that the air quality sensor can run in the background, and that it measures VOC and CO2, and that the heart monitor sensor measures also de oxigen levels.
Both of this statements I find them unrealistic, because as far as I know non of them are true, and unless I have a limited frimeware or a defective device, I haven't been able to read and measures any of that.
I leave screenshots of the article as attachments.
And I home to get an answer or solution to this matter.

Hello,

I think that sometimes the ads of the marketing department exceed the industrial capacities. We are at the limit of the erroneous advertisement, to say the least.

I would say both sensors are just gadgets. The heart rate sensor does the same as any camera does, for example the BV8000 Pro is also able to use the heart rate sensor app and uses the back camera. The results are more or less the same. And the air quality monitor... well... I simply don't know what exactly it does and if it's really more than a GIF animation. But both sensors were not the reason for me to buy the BV9700 Pro so I don't really care about them.

honestly the co2 detector works quite well, I work in a greenhouse where they use co2 for cultivation and the values are realistic

Please don't get me wrong, as far as capabilities of the phone, I'm very happy and it exceeds many of my expectations, I work in construction as construction resident, and had pretty much remake must of the strength tests, (cross my heart, it's been 100% accidentally) and the phone remains as new.
My post is mainly to encourage the company to keep it as real as possible, must of customers buy this phone because of its resistance.
But in my case the air quality sensor was one of the key factors to get this instead of BV9600 pro that at the time was cheaper and it would it be as great as this one, ore even try an armour 6E that had the same chipset and price was also lower.
Any ways I took this phone and I'm a really happy customer, but is kind of of a mixed feeling between it and ripped off feeling.
I will certainly wait for BV9800 PRO real reviews after a couple of months just to make sure the thermal image camera works well.

The VOC sensor measures particulate density, but is not sophisticated enough to tell you specific gases other than CO2, which is harmless but interesting. I have tested it enough to know that it will note bad air quality in the presence of noxious gases, but it won't tell you what they are.

I have no idea why Blackview called their heart rate monitor a blood oxygen detector...it doesn't perform that function.
