Change log for new update, July 2019

Mon Jul 22, 2019 7:25 am

Hi...Why oh why can't Blackview add a quick change log notification to updates?
I have just downloaded and installed an update (20190614-1855) but I have no idea what it has corrected/fixed...!!

I DO KNOW the alarm clock function that does not auto-start upon reboot (and therefore renders the app useless) has STILL not been addressed. But considering I asked this be fixed 8 months ago, maybe I'm being too optimistic!

Blackview admin....."You need to add the alarm to the app whitelist"....What exactly do you mean by this?

PLEASE explain the steps I need to take to fix the problem of the alarm not starting on reboot.

Blackview Admin...AGAIN I ASK YOU THIS:
Please describe step.... by...... step, how to "add the alarm to the app whitelist"

I have tried every setting in the app info screen, I have tried via battery optimization, I have tried via DuraSpeed, I have tried via secure startup, I have tried "system manger app autoboot"....I've lost count of the number of times I tried different things to fix this issue!...It's ridiculous that I should have to do this simply to get an alarm clock working after reboot!!

NOTHING I do will restart my alarm clock function on reboot. Your advice really adds nothing to the solution.

So...PLEASE, don't give me a 10 word explanation!...Show me step by step, how to fix this issue.

Thanks.

Thank you..!

Good news...It DOES work for system apps such as the inbuilt 'Clock'. But it still FAILS to start other downloaded (via Google Play) apps such as: Timely Alarm clock app. SB Wallpaper Changer app and Power Shade app....None of these apps start when my cell phone is accidentally rebooted (and with such a sensitive and prominent Power button, this happens frequently!!)

So the "White List" only appears to allow 'preloaded' apps that came with the original cell phone to boot...... Is this your experience also?

The "White List" allows downloaded apps to restart while you reboot the phone

I'm SORRY Blackview Admin!....... But at least in my case, you are dead wrong!

The Whitelist DOES NOT allow for Google Play downloaded apps to start on reboot.

I have tried multiple times to get my downloaded apps (such as the ones I mention above) to start on reboot, but they fail to...EVERY TIME...... I WISH I was making this up, but it's a FACT!

Yes, the preloaded Clock app does indeed work. But for me, other apps refuse to load.....Do I have a broken O/S ? (Build number 20190613V27) or do others have this problem as well?

I'm quite happy to upload a video of my attempt to get downloaded google play apps to work...I can prove these apps simply do not start. (private message me with an email address?)

Again, the 3 apps I simply cannot get to start on reboot (there may be more, but I'm only concerned about these 3) are:
Timely Alarm Clock
SB Wallpaper changer
Power Shade
All are readily available from Google play. All of these are 'locked' in the White List, and NONE of these auto start on reboot.....Strangely, even though Timely Alarm Clock does start not on reboot, when you actually 'open' the app, the alarm suddenly goes off (for an alarm set minutes ago).
