Hi,

I previously had a green BV6800 Pro from amazon.co.uk. It had water ingress issues so I ordered a replacement (this time yellow) which I received yesterday.

My first impression is the camera autofocus seems ok but not tested extensively. The microphone worked on the previous phone but was not very clear apart from in normal phone calls.

It seems the microphone is not working at all on this yellow unit, I have recorded a video of the phone recording a video of some tv noise. You can see from the video that the BV6800 Pro is recording strange noise. The video of the BV6800 Pro was recorded on a Galaxy S7 which you can refer to the sound for reference purposes. I have tried other apps such as the voice recorder but the result is the same. I've tried restarting the phone as well.

On the plus side this yellow one looks nicer IMHO and it arrived with the sim ejector "plectrum" this time, although I didn't need to use it but I know some others wanted one

I haven't tested the IP68 yet.

I'm also not keen to return this phone as it came from Blackview direct via aliexpress (from china). It seems I can only use it as a games device for my kids but even they want to use the voice search on google play to find games e.g. "my little pony"

Unfortunately you'll have to contact your seller to have your phone replaced/repaired under warranty.
If you don't want to send it back to china, try to ask for a partial refund

hello, I have a phone problem from the beginning with a microphone. when I call someone, the caller tells me that I'm badly misunderstood. there is noise and echo. I did not try ip68. If I turn on sound recording, I can hear it clearly and comprehensibly. the problem will probably be in the software to make a call. I buy phone from aliexpress Blackview official store.

Can you try a call via speaker, microphone gain will be more sensitive. Just test it if the problem will be the same.

via speaker the problem is same, with more echo. But it is only when calling. When I try record sound, soud is good.

Contact your seller and send him back to return money. On my BV6800Pro no echo on microphone, working good.

Unluckily, this 6800 has too much mic problem. I contacted blackview directly and they say "find someone to fix in Italy" "we may pay the repair if is not expensive".

Very disappointing.

I understand to send back to china but I expected a change of the phone for a working one.

Now they say there is an updated to fix the mic but the phone say always no update available.

How to download the rom and apply locally? thanks

The microphone issue seems to be related to an hardware problem, you'll have to send it back to your seller. Warranty will cover the repairing service or the phone replacement. There's nothing more we can do about that.
