USB-C Port DOA

Tue Feb 05, 2019 5:39 am

I just got my long awaited BV6800 Pro US Edition today! I was excited that it came with a Wireless Charger and quickly connected it using the included USB-C cable & Power Adapter. The phone charges without issues, so I let it complete the charge before installing the SIM & memory card. I then proceeded to set it up. I had a few issues, but nothing that I couldn't live with for now...

Then I decided to connect it to my computer to test its connectivity. Nothing! It didn't even show on the phone that it was charging. I did use the cable that came with the phone. I then tried connecting to the Power Adapter with the cable. No Charge! This is a problem!

Unfortunately it seems you got a faulty unit.
Please contact your seller to have it replaced under warranty ;)

Reboot your phone, sometimes it appends.

It turns out I attempted to use the USB-C cable that came with the wireless charger rather than the 8mm cable that came with the phone. I had also tried my BV8000 Pro's cable (7mm) and that didn't work. When I switched to the 8mm cable, it worked. My problem now is that none of my previous 7mm cables will work on the new phone! They can't be modified to fit either!

Glad to know that it was a simple cable problem ;)
