Phone unusable when charging

Touch screen becomes uncontrollable if used while phone is charging. This could become a safety issue in some circumstances (people charge phones in car and may be distracted by the unexpected behaviour.
Basically a vertical swipe on the screen to scroll up or down creates random horizontal movements that switch screens and apps. Problem disappears when phone unplugged.
