Re: Upgrade to Android 9.0 for P60 version

It try again to get posted.
I have followed Serge's instructions and I have been running 9 on my p60 bv9600pro for about a month. It is fine. But for me googlepay doesn't work, and I still have the apps not self loading from startup problem that I had before. So basically it doesn't help.

Why don't BV understand that if they made their phones work I would have already put down a deposit for the 9800 pro that is on Kickstarter? But with the experience I am currently having I can't seriously justify taking a punt on another BV disaster.

Such a waste. Wake up you foolish Chinese manufacturers. Why is apple so successful? Not because they make fifteen different models of phone, not because they are the most tech advanced, but because they work. They do what they are supposed to do, and they are supported forever. Think about it.

install using SP_Flash_Tool in "firmware / upgrade" mode ( necessarily mode select "firmware / upgrade" otherwise you’ll lose nvram)

in SP_Flash_Tool we charge "MT6771_Android_scatter.txt" which is located in the "Fix_start" folder (this folder is in the root of the main folder)
Flashing the "preloader" block in the normal "Download Only" mode
Only after that we turn on the smartphone and rejoice android_9, on which everything works on helio P60/revision_1
The only inconvenience awaits you is the red characters in the upper corner of the screen
To remove them you need to unlock the bootloader! After unlocking, the hieroglyphs will disappear automatically!

It’s difficult for me to write instructions for unlocking the bootloader, so I don’t even dare to do it! .. but the instruction is standard for android_9, you can peek at any topic on xda

Hello, I followed your instructions and I am running 9 on my P60 version. There are some volume problems and some options have disappeared from the standard camera app. But more importantly it doesn't do anything better except the battery stats seem to work. But it makes no difference to the apps not auto-starting on boot or running in the background. So it hasn't helped me in the end.

I couldn't care what number is displayed next to version, I just want a phone that works as it should.

So I've followed the above and installed this on my P60 model. It completed ok, SPFlash worked fine, the reboot after the first install and the second fix took what seemed like forever. Maybe 20minutes before SPFlash picked up the phone?
I can make and receive calls, browse the internet on mobile data and wifi so its a success.
BUT
Device has been unlocked ok.
For some reason, I can not get Fastboot OEM commands to work.
This is what I have to do to get the phone into fastboot.
adb reboot bootloader
Then these commands all error.
fastboot oem device-info (failed (remote: unknown command)
fastboot oem unlock (failed (remote: unknown command)
I cant get the phone into fastboot or recovery using the volume keys, it just doesn't work.
So I cant Root it which is annoying and I can't get Twerp recovery installed due to the above problems.
Any ideas?

not proper commands.
when in fastboot:
fastboot devices (you should see your phone connected)
fastboot flashing unlock (this command worked for me. on phone screen press volume up key..should be yes)
inside adb directory (in computer) copy twrp recovery and rename it to "recovery.img"
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (flashing renamed twrp recovery)
fastboot boot recovery.img
nie you should boot up into twrp recovery on your phone.
flash latest magisk.zip. SU doesnt work for me. wipe dalvik and cache. reboot system.
DON'T FORGET!!! ROOT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Naturally, this is not an official installation method, but at least I’ve been using android_9 for a month on my bv9600Pro (p60)
absolutely everything works, even contactless payment ..
Officially, on the old revisions, android_9 will never appear .. otherwise, who will buy the new revisions !? ;)
I also want to remind everyone that in no case do not install android_9 on old revisions if you have no experience using the flasher ... otherwise you will overwrite the nvram block. A lot of users lost nvram when trying to install android_9 ...
Restoring nvram is much harder than wiping, especially when there is no personal backup

Hello,

I have a concern
Sp flash tool does not detect my phone

unknown device in the device manager

How to do ?

Who managed to install android_9 on the first revisions and unblock the bootloader, you can also try installing the lite version of this firmware where some modifications are present.

And about the startup applications, a solution to this problem has long been found! The problem is solved very simply, you need to fix a few lines in the build.prop file:
