If anything it appears to be worse. I have a mesh network and after a while the WiFi starts dropping and reconnecting every few seconds to the same SSID, but chooses access points seemingly at random, from ones that are several floors away and have an extremely low signal to ones that are closer, jumping all over the place. For some reason, it won't connect to the access point I'm standing right in front of, instead bouncing around to every other one that are further away and have lower signal strengths.
This has got to be the most frustrating experience I've ever had with the WiFi on a phone. The BV9500 certainly never gave me these problems. I just may have to shelve this phone and go back to the BV9500 despite it being brick-like.
Nope, take that back about the BV9500. It also has a stupid tendency to connect to a mesh access point far away instead of the one your standing right in front of. But I don't find that it disconnects and reconnects to a random AP like the BV9600 does. What kind of wireless radio is in these phones? Is it part of the Mediatek processor? Do all Mediatek based phones suffer from this?
